One evening at full moon in October 1976 the girl Elena
was born in medieval seeming Regensburg.
Three years she should spend there before her family
took her along to the south – to Évora, Portugal.
For six precious years Elena absorbed the magic of Portugal.
She took the cordial and impassionate mentality of the
southeners deeply into her heart and evolved her crazy
love for nature and for live.
The spare time of her childhood she spent on the outskirts
of the big cities Berlin und Munich.

Creativity played a decisive role early on in Elenas life.
Her fascination for pictures was so big, that she
learned drawing autodactically.
Since it became apparent quickly that illustration and
the realisation of ideas were her greatest fulfilment
she studied communication design in Munich after having
finished secondary school. Having acquired academic
degree she returned to Berlin.
Since then she works as freelance artist on the subjects
art, illustration and design.

Deeply characterized by her yearning for Portugal –
the home of her soul – and her passion for music
she constantly keeps contriving ways and means for
emotional expression in illustration.
